Since making her professional debut at age 13 performing Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto, Korean pianist Kyung Kim has performed extensively to critical acclaim in concerto, recital and chamber music performances throughout Asia, North America, and Europe.

Recent invitations have included appearances at the Niagara, Heifetz, Bartok, and Salzburg Mozarteum summer music festivals, with the Madison and Milwaukee symphonies, and for Wisconsin Public Television, Chicago’s Live from WFMT, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Live from the Chazen, Brandon University Pro Series, and the University of Winnipeg Virtuosi Series.  An avid
chamber musician, Dr. Kim has collaborated internationally with musicians such as Paul Edmund Davies, Leona Buyse, and David Perry, serves as resident pianist and artistic advisor to the Brandon Chamber Players, and has been heard in radio broadcasts for National Public Radio and the Korean Broadcasting Corporation.

A member of the piano faculty at Brandon University’s School of Music, Dr. Kim holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  In frequent demand as a clinician and adjudicator, she has presented masterclasses throughout the U.S., Canada, South Korea, and China.  Dr. Kim has also served on the piano faculties of Lawrence University, Beloit and Ripon Colleges in Wisconsin, and as chamber music coach at the Green Lake Summer Music Festival.
