EDUA 5080  Fostering School Leadership Capacity to Support First Nations, Metis and Inuit Students

Historical Perspective

I have spent my entire life in schools, either as a student or in a variety of teaching, counseling or administrative roles. I have also had the opportunity to be the co-owner of a northern garage business with a bodyshop, tow trucks and bus depot.  While this might seem insignificant to some in terms of education, this experience helped broaden my thinking in terms of what the public or business side of the world looked like and expected from schools and teachers.  This experience helped me gain a wider view of the world in a wholistic sense.
