Peer reviewed paper by former lab MSc student Jessica Kalyniuk on the potential food available (from the Lower Albian Gates Fm macroflora) for the armoured dinosaur <em>Borealopelta markmitchelli<\/em> featured on RTMP blog <a href=\"https:\/\/royaltyrrellmuseum.wpcomstaging.com\/2022\/12\/20\/borealopelta-a-selective-herbivore\/\">here<\/a>.\n<ul>\n<li>a copy of the article in <em>Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology<\/em> is <span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><strong>open access<\/strong><\/span> and available <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1016\/j.palaeo.2022.111356\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600\">August 15th, 2022<\/span>. Greenwood Lab masters student, Nidhi Patel, was recognized in a media release by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/news\/2022\/08\/15\/trio-of-prestigious-awards-for-bu-masters-student-studying-ancient-pollen-and-spores\/\">Brandon University<\/a> for her recent success with grants, scholarships, and awards for her research on the K-Pg.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600\">May 31, 2022.<\/span> Our recently published paper on <a href=\"https:\/\/agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1029\/2022PA004418\">Australian Eocene climates and net primary productivity<\/a> versus climate modelling was publicized <a href=\"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2022\/05\/fossil-plants-reveal-lush-southern-hemisphere-forests-in-ancient-hothouse-climate#\">here<\/a> by lead author&#8217;s Dr Tammo Reichgelt&#8217;s home institution, the University of Connecticut.<\/li>\n<li>Our article on the stomach contents of the armoured dinosaur <em>Borealopelta markmitcheli<\/em> was published June 3, 2020, in the online journal <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1098\/rsos.200305\"><em>Royal Society Open Science<\/em><\/a>.\n<ul>\n<li>This article was extensively and widely covered by the popular press as well as the online science news feeds;\u00a0here is a summary compiled by co-author Dr. J.F. Basinger (<a href=\"https:\/\/people.brandonu.ca\/greenwoodd\/files\/2020\/06\/News-articles.pdf\">News articles<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/listen\/live-radio\/1-29\/clip\/15824926\">here<\/a> to listen to a podcast of a recent interview (Feb. 16, 2021) with Dr Greenwood and his student Jessica Kalyniuk with Marcy Markusa from CBC Information radio (Winnipeg) about this research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Dr. Greenwood along with Dr. Pete Whittington (BU Dept. of Geography) were interviewed for an article on the impacts of climate change on Manitoba in the local newspaper <em>The Brandon Sun<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonsun.com\/local\/prairies-to-feel-brunt-of-climate-change-508089782.html\">April 4, 2019<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The <span style=\"float: none;background-color: transparent;color: #333333;font-family: Georgia,'Times New Roman','Bitstream Charter',Times,serif;font-size: 16px;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;font-weight: 400;letter-spacing: normal;line-height: 24px;text-align: left;text-decoration: none;text-indent: 0px;text-transform: none\">Masters thesis <\/span>research of former lab student Alex Lowe was discussed on several online Science news websites, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/news\/2019\/02\/14\/study-of-fossil-plants-shows-emergence-of-pacific-northwests-temperate-forests\/\">Brandon University<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.burkemuseum.org\/press\/new-study-fossil-plants-shows-emergence-pacific-nws-temperate-forests\">Burke Museum<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geologypage.com\/2019\/02\/new-study-of-fossil-plants-shows-the-emergence-of-the-pacific-northwests-temperate-forests.html\">Geology page<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/news\/2019-02-fossil-emergence-pacific-northwest-temperate.html\">PhysOrg<\/a> in February 2019.<a href=\"https:\/\/people.brandonu.ca\/greenwoodd\/files\/2019\/04\/PhysOrg-2019-02-fossil-emergence-pacific-northwest-temperate.pdf\">PhysOrg 2019-02-fossil-emergence-pacific-northwest-temperate<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Interview of Dr Greenwood on CBC online about the city of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/nova-scotia\/dartmouth-palm-trees-1.4766229\">Dartmouth planting palms in its public parks<\/a> being &#8216;bold&#8217; (July 29, 2018).<\/li>\n<li>The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology in Alberta has a new display (Spring 2018) that features Greenwood&#8217;s research on fossil palms as past climate indicators, based around the paper by Greenwood &amp;
