Dr. Hanemaayer came to Brandon University after completing her doctorate in sociology, theory and culture at the University of Alberta, Canada, and a Killam Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Dalhousie University. Her research and publications have focused on the sociology of games, classical sociological theory, public sociology, and the sociology of medicine. Her current research examines the role of evidence-based medicine in professional regulation.
