Teaching
I have been teaching undergraduate courses since 2008 and have acquired significant experience teaching literary and cultural studies as well as the French language and second-language acquisition in a minority setting. I have taught those topics as well as advanced research skills at Université de Sherbrooke (2008-2016); comparative literature at Université de Montréal (2014); Canadian, Québécois, and French literature as well as French language at the University of Alberta (2017-2020); and Québec and French literature courses and French language courses at Athabasca University (2018-2020). Over those thirteen years, I have developed a pedagogical approach focused on student-centered, inclusive, and accessible teaching, learning, and assessing practices that foster good relations. As such, I have forged a strong commitment to engaging with transcultural and transnational content that speaks to the necessity of considering a variety of gender, race, and class-based perspectives across historical periods, spaces, and forms.
