Works to be studied could include OBrien, <em>Going After Cacciato<\/em>;<em> <\/em>Rushdie, <em>Midnight&#8217;s Children;<\/em><em> <\/em>Bakis, <em>Lives of the Monster Dogs<\/em>; Chabon, <em>The Yiddish Policemen&#8217;s Union<\/em>; McCarthy, <em>The Road<\/em>.\u00a0 We will also study at least two films, possibly Wenders &amp; Handke,<em> Wings of Desire<\/em> (<em>Der Himmel \u00fcber Berlin<\/em>) and Jeunet &amp; Laurant, <em>Am\u00e9lie<\/em> (<em>Le Fabuleux destin d&#8217;Am\u00e9lie Poulain<\/em>).
