February 10, 2026<\/strong><\/em><\/span>, on the occasion of International Cancer Day<\/span><\/strong>, we are honoured to share our advances in breast cancer research with cancer survivors and seniors at the Trinity United<\/em> Church in Brandon. Thank you, Patricia Bowslaugh, <\/em><\/strong>an educator of BU and a community service award winner for her outstanding contribution to community services, for connecting us to the community.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\"\" \"\"\n

January 11, 2026,<\/strong><\/span><\/em> we met the Waves of Hope Dragon Boat Team<\/span> <\/strong>at Neepawa, MB and Dr. Majumder gave the inaugural research talk. We had the privilege to talk to and get input from end users, breast cancer survivors, in this meeting.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

Nov 20 and Dec<\/strong> <\/em>1<\/strong><\/em><\/span>, Two outstanding MSc students, Reid Opperman<\/span> and Brady Nault<\/span>, successfully defended their MSc theses. Congratulations, Reid and Beady.<\/p>\n\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\n

October 31<\/span>, Honourable Minister Mr. Glen Simard recognized Dr. Majumder at the Manitoba Legislature.<\/p>\n

October<\/span><\/strong> is Breast Cancer Awareness<\/span><\/strong> month. Dr. Majumder presented the progress of the Breast Cancer Research project at the “Professional Networking Group for Women in Brandon” luncheon event at Brandon University and had the opportunity to network with an incredible powerhouse of women in our society. After the presentation, they visited BCCMRL and interacted with trainees who shared their exciting research.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\"\"\n
