Using plant-associated microbiomes (such as the phyllosphere) and synthetic microbial communities as model systems, we explore the ecological and evolutionary mechanisms driving colonization resistance, priority effects, and microbiome resilience.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we integrate multi-omics approaches such as amplicon sequencing and shotgun metagenomics with experimental evolution and molecular genetics to uncover how microbial traits and community-level functions respond to changing environments.
