Completed Projects
The Rural, Remote, and Northern Gendered Violence Research Program have completed the projects below:
#1 Understanding the lived experience of intimate partner violence and sexual violence in the rural context: A scoping review and environmental scan.
Phase I: Scoping Review
Phase II: Environmental Scan and Survey
Phase III: Dissemination
This project is now complete. We have developed “A Guide to Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Violence Resources in Rural, Remote, and Northern Manitoba” through the environmental scan we completed. The resource can be found at the QR Code below. Or at https://maws.mb.ca/get-help/find-a-service/
The IPV/SV in RRN Resource will be kept and continually updated by Klinic and the Manitoba Association of Women’s Shelters (MAWS). Along with this we also created two supplementary documents for the partners, a Keeping it Relevant Guide, and a Case Study Training Manual.
To summarize the project, we created a report (IPVSV RRN Report), a scoping review https://doi.org/10.22605/RRH9946), and an article for the Regional Health Authorities.
